In line with our corporate priorities aimed at ensuring optimization of performance in execution of our mandate, we are seeking highly motivated, result oriented, well qualified and experienced professional to fill an executive role as Executive Director/CEO.
- Job Purpose
To plan, coordinate and control operations of the organization and provide the strategic direction for managing the Organization, determining its direction in terms of development and growth within the mandate given by the strategic plan, the Board as well as general guidelines; and to evolve the necessary policies, philosophy and plans.
- Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops and implements a long-term strategy and vision for the organization that generates satisfactory levels of shareholder value and positive, reciprocal relations with relevant stakeholders.
- Evaluates ZAMCOM budget plans including strategies against objectives/policies submitted by all Departments, providing guidance and ensuring that submissions are realistic and attainable and thereafter presents the budget to the Board for approval.
- Reviews constantly the organization’s performance against set objectives and plans as given in the organization’s strategic plan and projects.
- Ensures that necessary resources are marshaled to finance, equip and run planned operations and capital projects.
- Ensures continuous improvement in quality and value of the two subsidiaries; ZAMCOM Lodge and ZAMCOM Radio in line with the mission and vision.
- Chairs Executive Committee Meetings and Procurement Meetings.
- Prepares and presents to the Board objective periodic reports of the organization’s affairs/performance and related issues and implements resolutions of the Board within agreed timeframes.
- Supervises subordinates and agrees, monitors and reviews their performance in order to ensure that they meet their agreed performance objectives/targets.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by the Board from time to time.
- Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university, in Business, Economics, Finance, Management, Mass Communication or a related field
- MA/MBA in business, or communication is desirable
- Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience at senior Management level;
- Conversant with Projects, Financial, Marketing and Human Resource Management.
- Should be very strategic and have a professional attitude to emerging issues;
- Strong interpersonal, influencing and networking skills to interact with ZAMCOM members of staff, the Board, clients, Government, Cooperating Partners, the Business Community and other stakeholders at all levels to achieve ZAMCOM’s goals;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- High levels of integrity;

Job Profile
Overseeing all aspects of the culinary operations of the kitchen, create and execute the menus, lead and manage the Kitchen staff.
Main Duties
- Supervise the preparation of all foods and ensure that it is prepared according to food preparation requirements.
- Ability to observe very high standards of cleanliness and hygiene as well as ensure all kitchen Staff maintain these standards.
- Responsible for creating menus and determining the food inventory needs.
- Oversee and monitor the work of kitchen staff to ensure all tasks are done as required.
- Ensure meals are prepared on time and in sufficient quantities.
- Ensure wastage is minimized by careful supervision of food preparation methods and ensure that proper hygienic storage methods are utilized to prevent food loss.
- Ensure a safe working environment for the kitchen staff at all times.
- Ensure kitchen equipment is in good working order and that kitchen staff are able to operate it efficiently.
- Design and present menus which are to be approved by the Lodge Manager

Knowledge and skills requirements
- Grade Twelve (12) Certificate
- Diploma in Food Production or its equivalent
- At least five (5) years proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-end hospitality establishment
- In-depth knowledge of various cuisines and culinary techniques and attention to detail and a commitment to delivering the highest quality of food Service
- Able to interact with personnel from other sections
- Be physically fit and be able to pass pre-employment and medical examinations.
- Strong Leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a Team
- Experience managing a diverse team and strong willingness to build capacity of staff
- Knowledge of food costing & control principles
- Computer Literate

To set up, operate, and maintain electronic equipment used to transmit radio signals. Control audio equipment, regulate volume level and quality of sound during radio broadcasts.
MAIN DUTIES
- Setting up, testing, and maintaining radio towers, equipment racks, intercom systems, and other equipment used in radio stations,
- Operate all equipment, such as audio mixing consoles, media control systems, oscilloscopes, frequency analyzers, and satellite receivers, used to broadcast radio programmes,
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wires and cables used in electronic equipment repair,
- Maintain equipment to ensure that it is functioning properly,
- Quickly and effectively troubleshoot problems with transmission,
- Conduct functional and operational testing procedures to ensure quality performance of broadcast products,
- Maintaining radio station logs to ensure that broadcasting is done at all times,
- Work with engineers to test and integrate new systems,
- Use computer software to edit audio recordings,

- Ensure that high quality of production and presentation is maintained in programmes with appropriate support, advice and regular feedback to broadcasters,
- Evaluate programmes to ensure they meet station objectives, broadcasting regulations, copyright requirements,
- Ensure that appropriate processes are in place for the selection and scheduling of programs, programme development, and provide opportunities for new ideas and broadcasting talent to develop,
- Ensure that appropriate strategies are in place for programme and broadcasting resources, making sure that these are managed effectively for all staff and broadcasters,
- Ensure that broadcasters receive appropriate initial and ongoing training and co-ordinate training strategies,

JOB PROFILE

- Ensure that high quality of production and presentation is maintained in programmes with appropriate support, advice and regular feedback to broadcasters,

- Ensure that broadcasters receive appropriate initial and ongoing training and co-ordinate training strategies,
- Liaise with Marketing and Sales in identifying promotional opportunities related to programmes, income generating events and programme related marketing projects,
- Prepare reports and provide advice as required on any aspect of programming or broadcasting,
- Produce content using contemporary software meeting industry standards,

JOB PROFILE
To oversee the day-to-day operations of the Radio Station. In addition, participate in the development and administration of strategic and operating plans, and evaluation of programs for compliance with the overall mission of the station.
MAIN DUTIES
- Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the radio station, ensuring compliance with broadcast standards, policies, and relevant laws and regulations,
- Maintain accurate schedules, records, discrepancy reports, and follow-through communications, and ensures that all on-air broadcast programming complies with IBA rules and regulations,
- Oversee various sections of the station and ensure that industry regulations and guidelines are upheld,
- Researches and makes recommendations to management pertaining to acquisition of operating equipment; participates in the development and management of annual operating budgets,
- Liaise with the Radio Producer in determining the format content,
- In liaison with the Human Resource and Administration Department negotiate contracts with on-air personalities,
- Provide advice and assistance to Senior Management in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of modification to existing operations, systems, and procedures,
- Network with other businesses, agencies and organisations to increase market share,
- Market airtime space to prospective advertisers,
- Market production services to prospective clients,

MAIN DUTIES
- Be part of an on-air team, giving radio reports at scheduled news breaks within different shows,
- Analyse and capitalise various attributes and requirements of digital media to strengthen editor’s position,
- Manage and produce news to present information with accuracy, flow, and within time frame,
- Design innovative and unique solutions to optimize routine news coverage,
- Monitor and use multimedia, nonlinear and alternative storytelling strategies to widen listenership,
- Manage and edit content to cater to audience needs and provide detailed information for same,
- Prepare work schedules, deadlines and encourage team members to meet targets to facilitate timely dissemination of content,
- Design and implement coverage strategies to facilitate wide coverage,
