09 Sep ZAMCOM PARTICIPATES IN EMOLUMENTS COMMISSION HARMONISATION AND RATIONALISATION WORKSHOP
The Zambia Institute of Mass Communication Educational Trust (ZAMCOM) this week participated in a five-day workshop convened by the Emoluments Commission to facilitate the harmonisation and rationalisation of employees’ salaries and remuneration structures.
Speaking during the official opening of the workshop, Emoluments Commission Director General, Mr Chembo F. Mbula, emphasised that remuneration reforms should be guided by key principles, including job responsibilities and grading, fairness and internal equity, institutional performance, affordability and financial sustainability, statutory compliance, and effective performance management systems.
ZAMCOM was represented by Executive Director Mr Kennedy Mwila, Board Trustee Ms Rhodah K. Mwale, and Heads of Departments.
The workshop follows a comprehensive job analysis and evaluation exercise conducted earlier in 2025, which provided a basis for reviewing and aligning positions, job grades, and remuneration structures across participating institutions.
The engagement underscores ZAMCOM’s commitment to strengthening its human resource systems and ensuring that its remuneration structures are aligned with institutional responsibilities, performance, and applicable regulatory frameworks.
